How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Borough of WestminsterAcademics LTD are currently work every year with this fantastic Primary school in Westminster to recruit graduates who are thinking about a career in Education and would like to gain experience before applying for PGCE and school direct programs to become qualified Primary Teachers.

    These opportunities are great for graduates who have some experience working with children, this could be youth work, childcare, mentoring or voluntary work and would like to take the next step and work in class as either a general or one to one Teaching Assistant. The roles require a commitment for a full academic year and you will receive all the training required to work to a very high standard.

    The school has two roles available, one working with two children in Reception with high needs and one working with an able child with physical needs in Year 6. Both roles are perfect for graduates that would like to develop their careers as either a teacher or educational psychologist. You will have the opportunity to work with the class teacher, SEN coordinator and visiting specialist that support the children's educational health plans.

    The successful graduate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and an enthusiastic approach to work. You will need energy and emotional intelligence to be able to flexible and meet the needs of the children you are working with, while helping the class teacher to deliver a fun, interactive lessons to engage the class.
