How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Media Sales Planner - Podcast & Audio

    £30k - Graduate - Early Career

A leading media business is bringing all of its podcast activity together under one dedicated studios division, housing original in‑house productions, hosted third‑party shows, and recently acquired creator‑led studios. The portfolio already includes some of the UK’s most successful podcasts across news, sport and entertainment, with ambitious plans to continue growing content output and commercial revenue.

The Sales Planner role sits at the centre of this growth, supporting podcast partnerships and helping turn strong content into commercially effective campaigns.

    Key responsibilities

    • Build media plans, with ownership of availability checks, blocklists and costings
    • Support podcast partnership leads with brief responses, sourcing audience data, case studies and insight to create compelling sales proposals
    • Own the campaign handover to delivery teams, ensuring campaigns are set up exactly as sold
    • Join relevant client and agency meetings to support early conversations, advise on show selection, explain plans and answer technical questions

    How the role is structured

    • Content discovery and awareness: staying close to what is trending and what content is launching next
    • Building a pipeline of shows and creators to approach, aligned with wider content strategy
    • Pitching and selling: confidently presenting ideas and propositions to shows, agents and partners
    • Industry insight: keeping up to date with podcast market trends, competitors, research and technology
    • Internal collaboration: working with commercial, content, marketing, tech and editorial teams

A genuine interest in podcasts and digital audio is essential, as strong knowledge of the content underpins both credibility and success in the role.

    What the role offers

    • The opportunity to work with leading creators and partners in the podcast market
    • Exposure across sales, content and commercial strategy within a growing audio business
    • Close collaboration across multiple teams within a large media organisation
    • Progression to Partnership Manager

    What success looks like

    • Agreed and achieved listenership and inventory targets
    • Strong relationships established with key creators, agents and partners
    • Trusted internal relationships across marketing, sales, tech and editorial

If you are a graduate (Media/Marketing or similar degree) or have 1-2 years experience in industry please apply and we can set up a quick call!
