How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Hydraulic Attachments Fitter

    Location: Nottingham
    Reporting To: Workshop Manager / Depot Manager
    Employment Type: Full-Time

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hydraulic Attachments Fitter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic attachments used on heavy machinery and construction equipment. This role will also involve delivering and collecting equipment, as well as attaching and detaching hydraulic attachments on-site.

    Key Responsibilities

    Deliver and collect machinery and attachments as required
    Install, assemble, and fit hydraulic attachments to heavy equipment
    Carry out PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) to ensure machines and attachments are fit for purpose
    Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on hydraulic systems
    Diagnose faults and carry out efficient repairs
    Ensure all hydraulic components meet safety and quality standards
    Maintain accurate service records and documentation
    Work collaboratively with engineering teams to optimise performance
    Comply with all health and safety regulations at all times

    Qualifications & Skills

    Proven experience in hydraulic systems, fitting, and maintenance
    Strong understanding of hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
    Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    Strong verbal and written communication skills
    Full UK driving licence

    Desirable Skills

    Experience working with construction or agricultural machinery
    Certification in hydraulic safety and maintenance

    Working Conditions

    Combination of workshop and on-site work
    Involves manual handling and working in confined spaces
    May require occasional overtime and travel
