How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Deputy Headteacher – SEND School - September 2026
    Are you an experienced Assistant Headteacher ready to take the next step in your career? Or an established Deputy Headteacher looking for a new challenge in a highly supportive environment? This outstanding all-through SEND school in Warwickshire is looking to appoint a dedicated Deputy Headteacher to join their leadership team.

    This specialist school supports children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and physical disabilities. The school has a nurturing ethos, where pupils are happy, well-supported and able to thrive both academically and personally. With outstanding facilities and a strong, collaborative staff team, this is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking and inclusive setting.

    As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a key role in the strategic and operational leadership of the school. You will work closely with the Headteacher and wider leadership team to drive high standards of teaching, learning and pupil outcomes, while ensuring a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all.

    This role would suit an experienced Deputy Headteacher or an ambitious Assistant Headteacher who is ready to step up into a senior leadership position within a SEND setting. Previous experience as a DHT or AHT is essential to be considered for this role. QTS required.
