We are working with a growing independent engineering consultancy to appoint an experienced Senior Structural Engineer for their Nottingham office.

The Role
The successful candidate will lead structural projects from feasibility through to construction, managing technical delivery, client relationships, and coordination with wider project teams.
You will also support and mentor junior engineers while contributing to business development and maintaining high technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead structural engineering projects across a range of sectors
Prepare and review calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications
Manage client relationships and act as key contact on projects
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
Carry out site visits, meetings, and technical reviews
Mentor junior staff and support team development
Assist senior leadership with growth opportunities
About You
Degree qualified in Structural Engineering (BEng / MEng)
5+ years’ UK consultancy experience
Chartered or working towards Chartership (IStructE preferred)
Strong knowledge of structural design across common materials
Experience using structural design software such as Tekla Structural Designer / TEDDS
AutoCAD experience required (Revit beneficial)
Experience carrying out structural inspections and reports
Strong communication and organisational skills
