Job Title: CNC Turner (Setter/Operator)
Location: Northampton
Salary: £36,400 + Overtime
Permanent / Full-Time

We are working with a well-established and busy engineering business in Northampton who are looking to appoint an experienced CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable company with consistent overtime available and a strong team environment.

Due to the location, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own transport.

Key Responsibilities

Setting and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls
Programming machines to produce high-quality components
Working from 2D engineering drawings to tight tolerances
Machining a range of materials including 316, 304, Duplex, Titanium and Hastelloy
Inspecting your own work to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
Maintaining a clean and safe working environmentWorking Hours

Monday – Thursday: 06:00 – 14:30 or 07:00 – 15:30
Friday: 06:00 – 12:00
38 hours per week
Overtime readily available, including SaturdaysThe Ideal Candidate

Proven experience as a CNC Turner (setter/operator)
Strong experience working with Fanuc controls
Ability to programme, set and operate independently
Confident reading and interpreting 2D drawings
Experience working with a variety of materials
Able to inspect own work and work to tight tolerances
Reliable, team-focused and committed to qualityDesirable

Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification
Experience within a fast-paced machining environmentBenefits

25 days holiday plus bank holidays (with a small number of days reserved for Christmas shutdown)
