How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Your role at a glance

    As the Regional Passive Networks Governance Specialist, you will act as a delivery engine for GDC Networks within your region. This role is responsible for implementing standardized processes, procedures, vendor supply, and tooling for local teams globally to ensure consistency and efficiency across all regions, with a strong focus on reducing outsource spend and lead times by bringing client work in-house through team development and training.

    This is a hybrid role based in EMEA, with flexibility to be located in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, or Spain. You’ll spend approximately 10–20% of your time every month travelling to sites across the EMEA region.

    What you will do?

    * Identify opportunities for cost efficiency through insourcing

    * Define and harmonize policies and procedures for passive products, campus connect, pre-cabling, and cross-connects globally

    * Assist local teams to reduce lead times (OLA/SLA) and improve service delivery

    * Actively manage suppliers of passive hardware within your region

    * Oversee capacity management database implementation and final accountability

    * Serve as the point of contact for regional teams regarding GDC’s passive infrastructure

    * Be a local point of contact with procurement during the onboarding process of new suppliers

    * Evaluating the tools required by our regional teams to complete passive network installations

    What are we looking for?

    * Completed technical studies or training as IT specialist with focus on network connectivity and system integration or comparable qualification

    * Experience in the data centre or telecommunications environment

    * Knowledge in the field of passive infrastructure

    * Process and Procedure creation

    * Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience using ARIS

    * Experience in FNT or similar asset management tools

    * Fluent written and verbal in English. German would be an advantage

    * Willingness to travel between EMEA sites

    * Familiarity with supply chain management, as well as supplier evaluation and selection would be an advantage

    * Excellent communication skills
