How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We're looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer to support new projects and improve existing production processes. This role focuses on creating and optimising CNC programmes (3, 4, & 5 axis), improving efficiency, and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective manufacturing.

    You'll be involved in setting up new products, refining current processes, and making sure everything runs smoothly on the shop floor.

    Key Responsibilities

    Create and develop CNC programmes, including tooling, setup sheets, and proving programmes into production
    Improve manufacturing methods to achieve the best quality at the lowest cost
    Manage and maintain all process elements (tooling, fixtures, CNC programmes, routing, etc.)
    Work closely with Quality to ensure inspection requirements are built into processes
    Select appropriate materials and tooling to meet production needs
    Identify cost-saving opportunities and support efficiency improvements
    Deliver projects on time and within budget
    Support process documentation and standardisation
    Assist with new product introduction and lifecycle planning
    Ensure processes meet quality system requirements
    Stay up to date with new manufacturing technologies and suggest improvements
    Support problem-solving activities, including root cause analysis and corrective actionsExperience Required

    Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
    Experience with CNC machining (milling and turning)
    Knowledge of tooling and machine selection
    Experience with CAD/CAM software for CNC programming
    Background in precision engineering (aerospace or similar highly regulated industry preferred)
    Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
    Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
    Confident communicator across teams and stakeholdersQualifications

    Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
    Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
    CAD/CAM training or certificationDesirable

    Experience with Fusion 360 or similar CAM software
    Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
