How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Graduate Quantity Surveyor - Stratford

    Location: Stratford (Office-based)
    Salary: £25,000 - £35,000

    A well-established specialist subcontractor in the interiors sector is looking to recruit a motivated Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team at its Stratford office. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to kick-start their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

    The Role
    You will support the commercial team across a range of drylining and interior fit-out packages, gaining exposure to projects from tender stage through to final account. Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors, you will develop a strong understanding of subcontractor commercial management.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Assisting with cost management across multiple projects
    Supporting the preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts
    Assisting with procurement of materials and subcontract packages
    Monitoring project costs and helping to report on financial performance
    Supporting contract administration and documentation
    Building relationships with site teams, suppliers, and clientsAbout You

    Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
    Strong numerical and analytical skills
    Good communication and organisational abilities
    A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
    Drylining or interiors experience/knowledge is desirable, but not essentialWhat's on Offer
