How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Owen Daniels are working in partnership with a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Kingswinford to recruit an experienced Quality Manager. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring full control of inspection processes from initial receipt through to final product release.

    The Role:

    As Quality Manager, you will take ownership of the company’s QMS, driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer expectations. You will manage all aspects of inspection, ensuring robust processes are in place from goods-in through to final inspection and dispatch.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System
    Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g. ISO) and regulatory requirements
    Oversee inspection processes from goods-in, in-process, to final inspection
    Lead internal and external audits, including customer and supplier audits
    Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
    Manage and develop the quality team, including inspectors and technicians
    Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams
    Monitor quality KPIs and implement improvement initiativesAbout You:

    Proven experience in a Quality Manager role within manufacturing
    Strong working knowledge of QMS and quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
    Experience managing inspection processes end-to-end
    Skilled in audit management and continuous improvement methodologies
    Strong leadership and team management capability
