How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This Level 6 finance manager apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to earn while you learn, developing your skills within a supportive and dedicated finance team that plays a vital role in delivering high‑quality patient care across the NHS.
    You will join The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, gaining hands-on experience alongside experienced professionals while studying towards a finance degree. The apprenticeship also offers the potential to rotate across the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Community and Hospitals NHS Group, providing exposure to a broad range of financial environments and the chance to build a diverse and valuable skill set.
    As an apprentice, you will work towards the finance manager apprenticeship standard within 36 months, supported by experienced finance and training managers.

    Overview of the level 6 finance manager apprenticeship in the NHS
    Working as part of the finance team, the post holder will gain valuable NHS experience and knowledge, and work towards the finance manager degree apprenticeship standard alongside gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
    The apprentice will be supported by a training manager to learn the functions of the finance department and how they support and promote the delivery of high-quality expertise and local care.

    Required education, skill and qualifications
    * Aged 18 and above (E)
    * 5 GCSE’s grade 4 and above (E)
    * Level 3 AAT(E) OR Level 4 AAT OR A-level finance or equivalent (E)
    * English level 2 functional skills or GCSE grade A*-C (E)
    * Valid visa for the full duration of the apprenticeship or British citizenship (E)
    * Desire to work in the NHS (E)
