Barlows UK Ltd are looking for a proactive, energetic, and motivated individual to join their team as a Joiner / Maintenance Engineer. The ideal candidate will take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and providing an excellent level of service across a variety of projects.
Role Overview
This is a varied and hands-on role involving:
* Private domestic, light commercial, and insurance-related projects
* General joinery work including installation, repair, and maintenance
* Fitting kitchens, doors, skirting boards, architraves, and flooring
* Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance tasks
* Basic multi-trade work (e.g., minor plumbing, decoration, patch plastering, or tiling) where required
* Property repairs and refurbishment work
* Measuring, cutting, and installing materials to a high standard
* Working both independently and alongside other trades
* Ensuring all work complies with health, safety, and quality standards
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent experience)
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in joinery or maintenance roles
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Experience in multi-trade environments (advantageous)
