The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an Electronics Technician to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation based in Enfield. This is a hands-on role working on high-specification electromechanical and PCB-based systems used in advanced technology applications. You will be involved in the assembly, testing, and rework of complex electronic equipment within a quality-driven production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly and build of electronic and electromechanical systems
PCB work including soldering (through-hole and surface mount)
Rework and repair of assemblies to component level
Wiring, crimping, and cable assembly
Testing and fault finding using standard test equipment
Working from engineering drawings, schematics, and procedures
Inspecting your own work and maintaining high quality standards
Supporting continuous improvement and production processes

Requirements

Experience in electronics manufacturing or production
Strong PCB assembly and soldering skills
Ability to read and follow technical drawings and schematics
Experience with testing and fault finding
High attention to detail and quality standards

Desirable

IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-620)
Electromechanical assembly experience
Cable assembly, wiring, and crimping
Experience within high-reliability or regulated industries
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and 5S
