How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Engineering Lecturer

    £36,000 - £42,500 + 48 Days Holiday + Pension (23.68%) + 37 Hour Week (Mon-Fri) + Excellent Benefits

    An excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineering Lecturer to join an award-winning further education institution with outstanding facilities and a strong reputation for engineering excellence.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team delivering high-quality Electrical and Electronic Engineering education to the next generation of engineers, with a particular focus on electrical power systems.

    The college has invested heavily in modern, industry-standard facilities and is seeking a qualified lecturer with previous teaching experience within Electrical Engineering or a related discipline to strengthen their delivery team.

    You will be responsible for delivering both practical and theoretical sessions across Electrical Engineering programmes, supporting apprentices and full-time learners to achieve their qualifications and develop industry-ready skills.

    The Role:

    * Deliver Electrical / Electronic Engineering curriculum with a focus on electrical power
    * Teach both practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theory
    * Support and assess learners across college and apprenticeship programmes
    * Contribute to curriculum development and learner progress tracking
    * 37-hour working week, Monday to Friday

    The Person:

    * Previous teaching or lecturing experience within Electrical Engineering or a related field
    * Strong background in Electrical Engineering (Power systems desirable)
    * Relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to hold/maintain one where applicable)
    * Confident delivering both practical and theoretical content in an FE environment
