How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Research Scientist in Biokinetics

    Duration: 2 Years

Our client, is looking for a Research Scientist in Biokinetics to join their innovative Bioperformance group! This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to global food security through cutting-edge research in crop protection.

    About the Role:

    As a Research Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in understanding the ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Elimination) behavior of active ingredients (AIs). Your work will help illuminate critical performance characteristics like selectivity and resistance, making a real impact on how crops are grown.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Conduct Research: Perform laboratory and glasshouse assays to gather high-quality data on the bioavailability of novel agrochemicals.
    Design Experiments: Independently design, plan, execute, and analyze experiments focusing on interactions between AIs and biological systems.
    Data Interpretation: Analyze and interpret data, presenting your conclusions in detailed reports and engaging presentations.
    Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-disciplinary colleagues, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
    HSE Compliance: Implement health, safety, and environmental actions to maintain operational standards.

    What We're Looking For:

    Essential Qualifications:

    BSc or MSc (preferred) in Biological Science, with a focus on plant, insect, or fungal biology, biochemistry, or chemistry.
    A minimum of two years of relevant laboratory experience in a professional or academic setting.
    Strong scientific writing skills and fluency in English.
    Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    Experience in Pharmacology, Agronomy, Crop Protection, Biochemistry, or Analytical Chemistry.
    Familiarity with ADME studies and analyzing small molecules using LC-MS.
    Proficiency in handling large datasets and utilizing data visualization tools.
    Experience working with plants, soil, or seeds.
