How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: General Teaching Assistant (Primary)
    Location: Enfield, London
    Salary: £100 – £103 per day
    Job Type: Full Time, Temporary (Term Time Only)
    Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
    Start Date: 02 September 2026
    Key Stages: EYFS, KS1, KS2 (dependent on experience)
    Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are reserved for candidates with substantial experience and/or relevant training such a recognised Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Pay is determined in line with school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.

    This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants to join at the start of the new academic year and play a key role in helping pupils achieve their full potential.

    About the Role

    This is a varied and rewarding role, with opportunities to work across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on your experience and strengths. You will support teaching and learning both in class and through targeted group interventions, particularly with lower ability pupils and those with SEN.

    You will need to be confident, proactive and capable of delivering support that makes a real impact—especially in English, maths and (for KS1 roles) phonics.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
    • Deliver small group interventions in English and maths
    • Support pupils with additional needs and lower attainment
    • Assist with phonics delivery (particularly in KS1)
    • Help maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
    • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
    • Encourage pupil confidence, engagement and progress

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have
    • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
    • Strong skills in English and mathematics
    • Confidence delivering interventions and small group support
    • Knowledge of phonics (essential for KS1 roles)
    • Excellent communication skills and strong spoken English
    • A proactive, confident and professional approach
    • Experience supporting SEN pupils

    Interview Process

    The interview will include a group task with other candidates, followed by interview questions conducted in a group setting. This is an opportunity to demonstrate your communication skills, teamwork and confidence.
