How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You will teach autistic pupils in small classes, delivering a broad and engaging curriculum adapted to meet individual needs. This role is ideal for both Early Career Teachers with relevant SEN experience and experienced practitioners who are passionate about inclusive, evidence-based education and whole-child development.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons across the Primary National Curriculum
    • Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of communication, sensory and learning needs
    • Build strong, trusting relationships that support pupils engagement and wellbeing
    • Promote pupils academic, social and emotional development through personalised approaches
    • Contribute to a collaborative, reflective and innovative teaching environment
    • Work closely with support staff, therapists and families to ensure a holistic approach

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have
    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong Primary curriculum knowledge
    • Experience working with pupils with autism and SEND
    • A commitment to inclusive, child-centred teaching and high expectations for all learners
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • A reflective, proactive and can-do approach

ECTs are welcome to apply; however, candidates must have prior experience in a special school setting, such as working as a Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with SEND.

    Personal Qualities
    • A genuine passion for supporting children to reach their full potential
    • Ability to inspire, motivate and build positive relationships with pupils
    • Enthusiasm for innovative, evidence-based teaching approaches
    • Commitment to continuous professional development
    • A collaborative and professional approach to working within a team

    What the School Offers
    • A specialist, well-resourced environment designed for autistic learners
    • Small class sizes enabling highly personalised teaching
    • A welcoming, close-knit school community
    • Access to excellent CPD through a respected SEND trust
    • Strong support for ECTs and experienced teachers alike
    • Outer London salary plus SEN allowance
    • The opportunity to make a real and lasting difference to pupils lives

The school caters for pupils aged 5–19 with autism and Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs), offering a calm, structured setting for learners who benefit from a more tailored approach than mainstream or generic special schools.
