A specialist secondary SEN school in East Finchley is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Preparation for Adulthood Teacher to join their team from September. About the Role:
This is a varied and rewarding position focused on delivering a practical, engaging curriculum that prepares students for life after education. You will:
Plan and deliver Preparation for Adulthood lessons, including life skills, employability, community engagement, and independent living
Support students in developing confidence, communication, and social understanding
Incorporate real-life learning opportunities, including trips, work-related learning, and functional skills
Work closely with colleagues, families, and external agencies to support student progression
Play a key role in helping students transition successfully into further education, training, or employmentWho We’re Looking For:
A qualified teacher or experienced SEN practitioner with a passion for life skills education
Essential experience working with autistic students
Strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support communication, behaviour, and independence
Creative, proactive, and able to deliver engaging, practical learning experiences
