How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Cranleigh, Surrey (Hybrid + Flexible work)

    You’ll be working across:

    · Hydrogen fuel cells

    · Hydrogen generation systems

    · Integrated power solutions

This is not a pure design role. It’s design, build, test & deliver.

    · Lead electrical design delivery across R&D and project work

    · Define system architectures and undertake design trade-offs

    · Produce electrical schematics (single line & detailed wiring)

    · Develop specifications for electrical components (motors, transformers, protection systems)

    · Support build, integration, and verification of systems

    · Own documentation for compliance, validation, and manufacture

    · Support safety reviews (HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, C&E)

    · Fault finding, testing, and hands-on system evaluation

    · Mentor junior engineers within the team

    · Work cross-functionally with systems, product, and production teams

    What They’re Looking For

    · Strong background in electrical system design for industrial equipment

    · Experience working to EN 60204 and BS7671 (18th Edition)

    · Knowledge of functional safety (EN 61511)

    · Experience with Siemens PLCs (hardware/software)

    · Comfortable working across design & hands-on testing

    · Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering

    Nice to Have

    · CE / UKCA machinery compliance experience

    · EMC / EMI troubleshooting

    · Low Voltage Authorised / Competent Person

    · Experience with fuel cells, electrochemical systems, or energy systems

    Why Join?

    · Work on cutting-edge hydrogen technology

    · Be part of a team moving from prototype, product, deployment

    · High ownership, high impact engineering role

    · Fast-moving, innovative environment
