Pay rate: £17.00 - £17.50 per hour (DOE)
Due to continued growth Next Generation are recruiting for a Tool Maker to work with a well-established family ran Engineering business based in Birmingham. As the Tool Maker you will be responsible for providing a high standard of machining for a business that has upheld a strong reputation with its clients across the UK.
Duties of the Tool Maker:
* Reading engineering drawings to be able to confidently and competently manufacture tooling components
* To conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet the specifications; make adjustments as necessary.
* Set up and operate conventional and CNC machines
* Be able to measure finished parts to specifications, using measuring instruments such as callipers, gauge blocks, micrometres, and dial indicators.
* minimal downtime to aid production
* Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained
* Prepared to work a reasonable amount of overtime as and when required to meet business needs.
* Any other duties as reasonably required by the company
The successful candidate for the Tool Makers position will have the following experience:
* Apprentice trained (Desirable)
* 3 – 5 years experience as a Toolmaker (Essential)
* Ability to use XYZ machines (Essential)
