How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Customer Service Advisor (Optical Experience Required)

    We are seeking a confident and knowledgeable Customer Service Advisor with experience in the optical sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of optical products and services,

    excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer care.

    This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping customers with their eyewear needs in a professional, friendly, and fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in person.

    Assist customers with enquiries related to glasses, contact lenses, prescriptions, and optical products.

    Offer product recommendations based on customer needs and prescription requirements.

    Manage appointment bookings, order processing, and aftercare support.

    Resolve customer issues efficiently while maintaining a positive customer experience.

    Maintain accurate customer records and ensure compliance with optical industry standards.

    Collaborate with the optical team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

    Support administrative tasks such as stock checks, order tracking, and documentation.

    Skills & Experience Required

    Previous experience in an optical environment (opticians, optical retail, or optical customer support).

    Strong understanding of optical terminology, prescriptions, and product types.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.

    High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

    Confident using computer systems and customer management software.

    A customer-first mindset with a professional and friendly approach.
