Power BI Developer – Contract (3 Months) Location: Cambridge (On-site 3–4 days per week)

Overview We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to support a short-term increase in demand for reporting across the business. This contract will focus on building and iterating Power BI reports for internal stakeholders, primarily around project and programme reporting.

This is a hands-on delivery role requiring strong Power BI capability, good stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements
Deliver iterative reporting solutions, incorporating regular feedback
Support reporting focused on project progress, delivery, and status
Ensure dashboards are easy to understand, supportable, and fit for purpose
Work predominantly on-site to enable effective collaborationRequired Skills & Experience
Proven experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI
Comfortable working primarily via the Power BI GUI, keeping solutions simple and supportable
Experience gathering requirements directly from stakeholders
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
Ability to balance confidence with pragmatism — knowing when to check in and validate assumptionsNice to Have
Experience delivering project or programme reporting
Understanding of common project reporting metrics and concepts
Background working in internal-facing reporting environmentsWorking Arrangements

Based in Cambridge
4 days on-site initially, potentially reducing to 3 days per week
On-site presence is important for requirement gathering and collaboration
