How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Permanent, 4 day working week, OT available on Fridays at time and a half, growing & innovative company, modern clean working facility, free onsite parking
     
    We are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join a busy fabrication & welding department. Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, you will play a key role in the build and conversion of vehicle-related equipment. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys a varied workload.

    We welcome applications from candidates with MIG Welding experience, who are used to working in a fast paced, heavy engineering environment.
     
    Key Responsibilities of the MIG Welder:
    MIG welding (essential)
    Fabrication and welding of chassis conversions (e.g. tipper beds)
    Fabrication of cage-style vehicle bodies
    Manufacturing and welding of trailers, storage units, and related equipment
    Mild steel welding for our manufacturing plant
    Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop
    Supporting general workshop operations and ad hoc tasks as required What we need from you for the MIG Welder role:
    Proven experience in welding and fabrication
    Strong MIG welding skills (essential)
    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
    High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    Experience using workshop machinery (e.g. chop saws, guillotines) with a solid understanding of health & safety
    Ability to set up and adjust welding equipment independently
    Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
    Strong work ethic, reliability, and integrity Benefits of the MIG Welder role;
