How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    ARE YOU A SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR LOOKING TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP IN YOUR CAREER OR A QUANTITY SURVEYOR, WANTING TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP AND BE A NUMBER ONE ON A VERY INTERESTING SCHEME!

    My client is looking for a strong QUANTITY SURVEYOR OR SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR on a very unique project in the Midlands, this scheme is one of its kind in the country and is working on a specialist part of HS2. As a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be number 1 on site leading the full commercial function and working very closely with the operational team.

    Our client is a top multi-disciplinary principal contractor who currently has an opportunity within their civil infrastructure division for a Strong Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on multiple large infrastructure and heavy civils schemes valued in the region of £50m. The successful candidate will be required to be on the site in Birmingham and ideally living within a reasonable commute of the Midlands would be preferable.

    The business is one of the largest contractors in Ireland with a very strong presence in the UK, with a strong family-oriented ethos and is listed as one of the top 25 companies to work for in the UK and Ireland.

    With a turnover exceeding £600 million the business undertakes major multi-disciplinary construction projects within Building & Civil Engineering

    On offer:
    •£75,000 basic salary (dependent on candidate experience)
    •£9000 Car Allowance

    Criteria:
    •Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Number 1 on large civil infrastructure
    •Main contractor background
    •Experience working on Major Civils Infrastructure schemes
    •Preferably BSc degree qualified (Quantity Surveying)
    •UK driving licence.
    •Experience of ICC form of contract
