How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Year 6 Class Teacher | Harrow, London | September 2026 Start | M3–U3
    Start Date: 01/09/2026
    Contract: Full Time, Temporary (Term Time Only)
    Salary: £41,935 – £56,154 per annum (M3–U3)
    Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to U3.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
    • Prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments (SATs) with confidence and expertise
    • Use assessment data to track progress and implement targeted interventions
    • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment with high expectations
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to curriculum development
    • Build strong relationships with parents and carers

    What We’re Looking For
    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
    • Experienced primary teacher (not suitable for ECTs)
    • Strong KS2 background, ideally within Year 6 or upper KS2
    • Proven ability to deliver strong pupil progress and outcomes
    • Confident knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and SATs expectations
    • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
    • A creative, enthusiastic, and reflective approach to teaching
