Site Manager

Our client is a growing waterproofing and roofing contractor operating across London and the Southeast, specialising in new-build flat roofing alongside pitched roofing, Mansafe systems, roof finishes, and blue roof solutions.

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Flat Roofing Site Manager / Project Manager for a 6-week freelance role in Southampton. Projects range from £100k to £5m.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage site staff and subcontractors

* Approve timesheets and coordinate labour

* Plan works to programme and liaise with clients

* Order and manage materials via digital systems

* Ensure timely deliveries and site logistics

* Maintain health & safety compliance at all times

* Complete daily/weekly site reporting and documentation

* Track and report variations (no works without written instruction)

* Ensure works meet drawings and specifications

* Coordinate subcontractors to maintain quality standards

* Attend site and client meetings

* Arrange plant, lifting equipment, and logistics

* Produce weekly progress reports and programme updates

* Oversee operational and commercial delivery of the project

* Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager

Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years’ site management experience

* Roofing and cladding background essential

* CSCS card

* SMSTS or SSSTS

* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

* Available for a 6-week freelance assignment in Southampton
