How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Daily Supply Teacher
    Location: Brent, London
    Job Type: Daily Supply / Temporary
    Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
    Salary: £180 per day

    About the Role
    We are looking for a reliable and flexible Daily Supply Teacher to join a network of educators providing cover across a range of schools in Brent. This role offers variety and flexibility, as you will work in different schools within the borough, covering a wide range of subjects and age groups. If you are adaptable, enjoy a challenge, and thrive in dynamic environments, this role will offer you the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' learning while gaining diverse teaching experiences.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects in line with the school's curriculum.
    Adapt lesson plans as needed to suit the varying needs of students and ensure inclusivity.
    Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, promoting good behavior and focus.
    Support students with individual learning needs, ensuring they remain engaged and on track.
    Communicate effectively with school staff to ensure continuity and smooth transitions.
    Provide feedback on student behavior and progress when required.

    Essential Requirements:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
    Previous experience in classroom teaching, either as a supply teacher or in a permanent role.
    Strong classroom management skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new school settings.
    A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to supporting students' development.
    Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Desirable:

    Experience in primary or secondary education (depending on the level you're applying for).
    Knowledge of specific subjects or age groups.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
