A forward‑thinking SEN school in Rugeley is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part‑Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role focuses on supporting children and young people aged 5 to 18 with a wide range of special educational needs, ensuring both their learning and social/emotional wellbeing are at the heart of everything you do.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with a variety of SEN needs.
* Help to promote pupils’ social and emotional wellbeing, resilience, and independence.
* Assist with classroom activities, routines, and differentiated learning tasks.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils aged 5–18.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff.
* Support positive behaviour strategies to create a safe, encouraging environment.

* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in school or care settings).
* A calm, understanding, and empathetic approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Enthusiasm for supporting pupils with emotional, behavioural, and sensory needs.
* Reliability, patience, and a genuine passion for helping young people thrive.
Desirable Qualifications
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* SEN training (e.g., Autism Awareness, Makaton, Team Teach)
