We are working in partnership with an independent SEND educator to recruit a passionate and dedicated Primary SEND Teacher for a brand-new school opening in Huddersfield this September. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a nurturing, inclusive setting from the ground up.
About the role
You will deliver high-quality, personalised teaching for pupils across KS1 and KS2 with a range of SEND needs. The focus is on supporting each child to make meaningful progress from their individual starting points within a calm, structured and supportive environment.
You will:
Plan and deliver tailored learning across a broad primary curriculum
Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and sensory needs
Teach core skills including phonics, reading, writing and maths
Build independence, confidence and engagement in learning
Work closely with support staff, families and external professionals
Contribute to EHCP targets, IEPs and progress tracking
About you
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working with primary-aged pupils and SEND
Strong understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching
Patient, nurturing and resilient approach
Committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
