How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Mechanical Engineer

    We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team working on innovative, high-performance products. This role offers the opportunity to be involved across the full product lifecycle, from concept through to testing and production support.

    The Role

    As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems and structures. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust engineering solutions that meet both technical and commercial requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Support mechanical design and development activities in line with internal quality standards and processes

    * Contribute to the improvement and optimisation of existing products

    * Produce detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation

    * Assist in estimating project costs and timelines

    * Support the build and testing of prototypes and new equipment

    * Implement design updates and engineering changes as required

    * Work closely with internal stakeholders across engineering and production teams

    * Undertake occasional UK travel when required

    About You

    * Strong understanding of engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and technical documentation

    * Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and comfortable working with databases

    * Excellent technical writing and documentation skills

    * Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability

    * Confident communicator with the ability to engage across all levels of an organisation

    * Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage competing priorities

    * Calm under pressure with a proactive and flexible approach to work

    Qualifications

    * Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
