About the Role
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated Intervention Teaching Assistant to join their team from 5th of May. The role will involve delivering targeted support to pupils, focusing on raising attainment in literacy and numeracy across Key Stages 1 and 2.
As an Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will work with small groups and individual learners, helping them build confidence, close learning gaps, and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
Lead one-to-one and small group intervention sessions in literacy and numeracy.
Support pupils who need additional help to meet learning targets.
Track progress and provide feedback to teachers and the SENCO.
Adapt resources and strategies to suit different learning needs.
Encourage independence, motivation, and positive learning behaviours.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as an Intervention Teaching Assistant or similar role.
Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Patient, proactive, and able to motivate pupils effectively.
