How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist contractor operating across damp-proofing, timber preservation and structural waterproofing.

    We are looking for an experienced Damp & Waterproofing Surveyor to join a growing team focused on technical quality, professionalism and long-term development.

    The Role

    As a Damp & Waterproofing Surveyor, you will carry out detailed inspections, diagnose damp issues and produce clear, accurate reports and specifications.

    This role goes beyond surface-level reporting. The successful surveyor will identify root causes, understand building pathology and provide commercially sound solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Carry out inspections across residential and commercial properties

    * Diagnose rising damp, penetrating damp and condensation issues

    * Assess waterproofing requirements including Type A and Type C systems

    * Produce detailed reports and specifications

    * Provide budget costs and scope of works

    * Communicate clearly with clients

    * Support internal teams with project handover

    Requirements

    * Experience as a damp surveyor, waterproofing surveyor or building surveyor

    * PCA qualification (CSTDB or CSSW preferred)

    * Strong technical and reporting ability

    * Confident client-facing communication skills

    * Commercial awareness

    * Full UK driving licence

    Location & Travel

    Projects are based across London and Greater London.

    The office is in Kings Langley, and surveyors will be required to attend regularly for meetings, reporting, training and team coordination.

    Applicants should be within a reasonable commuting distance.
