How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Fire and Security Engineer – Security Biased – Up to £45,000 – Door to Door Travel – No Call Out Rota

    Location: Aldershot
    Salary: Up to £45,000
    OTE: £52,000 +

    Basic Salary: Up to £45,000
    Travel Time Paid: Door to Door
    Overtime: 1.5 Weekdays and Double time on Saturdays and Sundays
    Annual Leave: 20 Days + Bank Holidays + 1 Day for Birthday
    Company Vehicle: Van with Personal Use

    Responsibilities – Fire and Security Engineer:

    As a Fire and Security Engineer, your role will include:

    Carry out servicing and reactive maintenance on fire alarms, intruder alarm systems, access control systems and CCTV equipment
    Perform installation of fire alarms, intruder alarm systems, access control systems, and CCTV equipment
    Complete all work in accordance with current legislation and relevant British Standards
    Respond to and manage customer requests in a professional and timely manner

    Requirements – Fire and Security Engineer:

    Minimum 3 years’ experience installing and servicing electronic security systems
    Experience working with Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control
    Ability to work independently
    Strong fault-finding and system servicing skills
    Full UK Driving Licence (clean licence preferred)
    Must be eligible for enhanced security screening
    Fluent in German (Preference but not essential)
