I'm currently working with a well-established and highly respected residential developer who is looking to appoint a Senior Town Planner to join their growing team in Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner to take on a key role within a dynamic business that has a strong pipeline of residential projects across the Midlands.
The Role
As Senior Town Planner, you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering planning strategies across multiple sites. You'll work closely with land, technical, and commercial teams to secure planning permissions and drive projects forward from acquisition through to delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading on the preparation, submission, and negotiation of planning applications
Managing relationships with local authorities, consultants, and key stakeholders
Providing strategic planning advice on land acquisitions
Monitoring local planning policy and identifying opportunities and risks
Supporting junior team members and contributing to team developmentAbout You
MRTPI qualified (or working towards)
Proven experience within residential planning (housebuilder or consultancy background preferred)
Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple projectsWhat's on Offer
