Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and motivated Plastics Operative to join a busy manufacturing team on a permanent basis. This is a day shift role working within a fast-paced production environment, producing high-quality plastic components while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.
Working Hours (Day Shifts)
·Option 1: Monday to Thursday - 6:00am to 4:00pm
·Option 2 (Optional): Monday to Friday - 6:00am to 2:00pm
Key Responsibilities
·Operate plastic manufacturing machinery (e.g. injection moulding, extrusion, or similar equipment)
·Load raw materials and monitor machine performance throughout production
·Carry out basic machine checks and report faults or issues
·Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
·Trim, pack, and label finished goods as required
·Maintain accurate production and quality records
·Follow health & safety procedures at all times
·Keep the work area clean and organised
·Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets
Required Skills & Experience
·Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (plastics experience preferred but not essential)
·Strong attention to detail and quality
·Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately
·Good reliability and timekeeping
·Basic understanding of health & safety practices
·Ability to perform manual handling tasks
Desirable Skills
·Experience in injection moulding or plastics manufacturing
·Knowledge of quality inspection processes
·Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
