How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Location: Kensworth, near Dunstable
    Job Type: Full Time
    Hours: 39 hours per week + overtime (expected throughout the year)
    Start Date: ASAP
    Salary: £18–£20 per hour (depending on experience)

    About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-established precision engineering team working across high-spec industries including aerospace, motorsport, and medical sectors.

    This is a hands-on machining role requiring strong experience in programming, setting, and operating 3–4 axis CNC milling machines. The successful candidate will be quality-driven, reliable, and comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Program, set, and operate 3–4 axis CNC milling machines

    * Work with CAD/CAM software (Haas controls used; OneCNC or HyperMILL experience advantageous but not essential)

    * Produce precision components from technical drawings

    * Maintain consistently high quality standards

    * Meet production deadlines and internal milestones

    * Inspect components using measuring equipment, including CMMs

    * Troubleshoot machining issues when required

    * Maintain a safe and efficient working environment

    Required Skills & Experience

    * Proven CNC milling experience (3–4 axis essential)

    * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

    * CAD/CAM experience essential

    * Strong attention to detail and quality focus

    * Good problem-solving skills

    * Strong organisational and communication skills

    * Team player with a proactive attitude

    * Computer literate
