How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Involve Recruitment are in search of Health and Safety Advisor for our client a well-established commercial construction contractor delivering high-quality projects across Wales and the surrounding regions. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team and help maintain the highest standards of safety across multiple live construction sites.

    The Role

    As Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation across our construction projects. You will work closely with site teams, project managers, and senior leadership to promote a proactive safety culture.

    This role is ideal for someone with previous construction HSE experience who can confidently engage with site operations and influence safe working practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Conduct regular site inspections and audits across multiple projects

    * Ensure compliance with current UK HSE legislation and company policies

    * Support site teams with risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)

    * Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, producing detailed reports

    * Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings

    * Support the continuous improvement of health & safety management systems

    * Liaise with contractors, site managers, and external regulators where required

    * Promote a positive safety culture across all levels of the business

    Requirements

    * Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry (essential)

    * Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and site-based safety management

    * NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement) – ideally NEBOSH Diploma or working towards

    * Membership of IOSH (desirable)

    * Full UK driving licence (essential)

    * Strong communication and influencing skills

    * Ability to manage multiple sites and prioritise workload effectively

    * Confident working independently on active construction sites
