How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in education? Do you have a passion for working with children and a desire to support their learning and development?

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary/secondary school in Croydon seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in education, whether you're considering teacher training in the future or simply want to make a real difference in the classroom.

    Your role will include:

Supporting pupils across the classroom and in small intervention groups

Assisting students with SEND, EAL, or requiring additional learning support

Helping with lesson planning and resource preparation

    Providing 1:1 support where needed

Contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment

    What we're looking for:

A graduate (all degree backgrounds welcome)

A positive, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude

A genuine interest in education and working with children

Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential

A DBS on the Update Service is highly desirable (or willingness to obtain one)

This is an excellent stepping stone into a career in education, and the school offers ongoing support and potential training opportunities for the right candidate.

If you're ready to inspire young minds and be a valued part of a school community, we want to hear from you!
