How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CNC Miller 
    Poole
    £16 – £23 per hour (dependent on experience/job role)

    An established engineering business in Poole is looking to add experienced CNC Millers to their team, covering both setting or programming (online and offline). This is a varied CNC Miller opportunity offering a mix of 4 and 5-day shifts, strong earning potential, and the chance to work on precision components in a well-organised environment.
    Whether you’re a CNC Miller Setter or an experienced CNC Miller Programmer, this role offers stability, development, and the opportunity to work within a team that values skill and consistency.

    Key Responsibilities
    Set and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components
    Program CNC machines online and/or offline depending on experience
    Interpret engineering drawings and job specifications accurately
    Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
    Adjust offsets, tooling, and programmes to maintain accuracy
    Work collaboratively with other setters, programmers, and machinistsEssential Skills & Experience
    Proven experience as a CNC Miller Setter or CNC Miller Programmer
    Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
    Experience with CNC milling machines in a production environment
    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
    Ability to work independently and as part of a teamDesirable Experience
    Experience with both online and offline programming
    Familiarity with Fanuc or similar controls
    Background in precision engineering environmentsBenefits
