How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Working with Mind CHWF means you’ll be part of a dedicated, passionate, and professional workforce who cares about the work they do and make a real difference to the lives of the people in the City of London, Hackney and Waltham Forest. We are committed to actively becoming anti-racist in everything we do. This is a critical priority for Mind CHWF. We embrace diversity and understand that being an inclusive organisation that recognises different perspectives, will enable us to provide excellent services. We are committed to ensuring all our employees are treated fairly and equitably at work and promoting equity in physical and mental health for all. All staff, trainees and volunteers have opportunities to participate in a wide range of in-house and external trainings through our networks. At Mind CHWF, we offer significant personal and professional development opportunities, encourage innovation and initiative from our committed and talented practitioners, and offer skill-building and experience of working across multiple projects and modalities in an award winning mental health organisation. Those with lived experience of Mental Health struggles are encouraged to apply. DBS clearance at Enhanced (with Barring) is required for this role.

    Purpose for the Posts:

Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest are recruiting qualified honorary therapists to join us in the Psychological Therapies Team.

We ask that you see 3 clients per week. Presently, our work is primarily on F2F basis with occasional online method if necessary. We will provide 2 hours of group supervision fortnightly with a supervisor who is BACP, HCPC, or UKCP registered. We also provide supportive line management, twice yearly management supervisions, the support of an administrative team, access to Microsoft Teams for organisational comms and updates, a comprehensive induction, a MIND email address, access to our database, the opportunity to co-facilitate a group and/or support webinar delivery, and the chance to participate in trainings, all staff meetings and other events.

We are looking for applicants who are either fully qualified or working toward their qualification and accreditation and able to work with clients of varying complexity. Ideally you will be available to begin seeing clients from September 2026. Comprehensive induction along ongoing opportunity for further training and professional development.

Honorary therapists will be asked to see 3 clients per week for mainly afternoon and/or evening slots. Interviews are currently to be scheduled in June.

    Value-based Recruitment:

We know that for various reasons, not everybody who can successfully perform in a role, performs their best under traditional interview/selection procedures. We are therefore seeking ways to breakdown further barriers in our recruitment & selection process.

Shorted-listed candidates will be provided with some questions to help them prepare for the interview.
