The Profile
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Engineering Department on an interim basis.
The successful candidate will have:
This is a hands on engineering role
·A recognised engineering apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification
·Proven experience within food manufacturing or a process-driven production environment
·Strong knowledge of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) systems and implementation
·Experience managing quality standards and reducing waste
·A proactive, hands-on leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement
·Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Interim Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:
·Providing strong leadership and man-management to a small team (up to 6 direct reports and 10 indirect, including contractors)
·Managing on-site projects and contractor activity
·Distributing workload effectively across the team
·First and second-line management responsibilities
·Conducting staff appraisals and performance management
·Delivering and reporting on KPIs including Planned Maintenance, Health & Safety, and Quality
·Providing technical leadership and promoting a proactive maintenance culture to prevent equipment failure
