How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teacher of Music and Music Technology
    Salary: ECT/UPS/MPS £salaries,

    Employment Type: Permanent, Part-time (approximately 50% FTE), will consider full-time for ECTs.

Whether you are guiding a student through the complexities of A-Level Music Technology or conducting a high-energy ensemble, you will be instrumental in fostering a lifelong love of music across all year groups.

    Responsibilities:

    Academic Delivery: Teach Music from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level, with a specific focus on delivering high-quality A-Level Music Technology units.

    Ensemble Leadership: Direct various ensembles across all year groups, utilising expert rehearsal techniques to achieve high-level public performances.

    Curriculum Innovation: Contribute to the evolution of the music curriculum, integrating modern technology with classical foundations to engage a diverse student body.

    Extra-Curricular Advocacy: Lead and expand our existing programme of lunchtime and after-school sessions, ensuring music remains the heartbeat of the school.

    Student Mentorship: Act as a specialist mentor for aspiring musicians, guiding them through practical exams, compositions, and higher education pathways.

    Requirements:

    Technical Mastery: Proven experience teaching Music Technology at A-Level is essential. You should be comfortable with industry-standard software and production techniques.

    Qualifications: You hold QTS (or equivalent) and possess a degree-level specialisation in Music or Music Technology.
    Pedagogical Excellence: A track record of delivering engaging Music lessons at KS3, GCSE, and A-Level.
