How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HR Advisor

    Bootle (with travel to Warrington)

    £30,000 to £35,000

    A market leading manufacturing company is looking for a HR Advisor to join the team at a really exciting time at the business. This is a generalist position, working in a fast-paced environment and will involve varied responsibility across a range of areas. This is a truly excellent opportunity for an ambitious HR professional to join a dynamic role.

    What you'll be doing:

    Acting as the first point of contact for all HR queries
    Supporting the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to exit
    Advising managers and employees across a range of HR and ER matters
    Managing contracts, onboarding documents, and compliance checks
    Coordinating inductions and supporting probation reviews
    Working with union reps where required
    Delivering training and administering the Vinci Works platform
    Maintaining accurate employee records and preparing payroll data
    Administering family‑friendly leave in line with policy.

    Skills and Qualifications

    CIPD Level 3 (or working towards)
    Must be well versed in a HR role within a small team/business that is dynamic
    Experience with HR databases is highly advantageous
    Must have worked with ER cases
    Hold a UK driving license and be happy to travel between local sites
