How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are a market leader in special purpose vehicles, and we’re seeking an experienced Mobile Service Technician to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who thrives in a field-based role and enjoys working independently.

    About the RoleAs a Mobile Service Technician, you’ll travel to customer sites to carry out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on specialist vehicles and equipment. You’ll act as the face of our service operation, ensuring a high standard of workmanship and exceptional customer service.

    Key Responsibilities
    Attend customer sites as a Mobile Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair special purpose vehicles.
    Carry out repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
    Manage your own workload and communicate updates clearly with the Service Team.
    Complete all service sheets, job cards, and documentation accurately as part of the Mobile Service Technician role.
    Promote parts and services where appropriate.
    Maintain a professional image at all times, including company van cleanliness and on-site behaviour.Essential Skills & Experience
    Qualified mechanic (HGV, plant, forklift, military engineering, or automotive).
    Strong experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and diagnostic procedures.
    Background working with special purpose vehicles, mobile plant, or forklifts highly beneficial.
    Excellent customer service skills essential for a Mobile Service Technician.
    Knowledge of diesel and electric engines.
    Reasonably clean driving licence required.
    Willingness to travel for field service work regularly.What We Offer
