How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Quantity Surveyor CSA
    Full Time
    Location flexible - London, Birmingham, Manchester
    National and some European travel required
     
    We are seeking a CSA Quantity Surveyor to take full ownership of the Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) packages on some of the most technologically advanced projects in the industry.
     
    The Role
    As our CSA specialist, you will manage the commercial delivery of vital packages, acting as the bridge between site teams and senior management. From procurement through to final account, you will be the commercial driving force ensuring financial control, contractual compliance, and value optimisation across the entire project lifecycle.
     
    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage CSA packages from initial procurement to final account.
    Prepare, review, and negotiate packages, including scope definition and rigorous pricing analysis.
    Track subcontractor performance against budget and programme milestones.
    Assess interim valuations, variations, and final accounts while managing change control procedures.
    Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and financial updates for senior leadership.
    Liaise with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure accurate cost capture and site reporting. 
    About You
    You are a detail-oriented negotiator who thrives under the pressure of large-scale delivery. You have a methodical approach to numbers and a deep understanding of construction contracts.
     
    Your Experience: Education:

    Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
    Previous experience managing CSA packages on data centre or mission-critical projects is highly desirable.
    3–5 years of experience as a QS on large-scale construction projects.
    Expert in subcontract procurement, valuations, variation management, and MS Excel.
