Location: Greenford
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:00pm
Salary: Up to £21.56 per hour
My client is looking for a well-rounded and experienced HGV Technician to join their growing team in Greenford.
As an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic you will be required to:
Undertake all aspects of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair on a modern fleet of commercial vehicles
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with vehicles, plant, and machinery
Carry out repairs ranging from correction of running defects through to full vehicle overhauls
Prepare a range of vehicles to MOT standard, from 3.5t to 26t HGV/RCV, including completing all necessary repairs and maintenance
Maintain accurate records of servicing, inspections, repairs, and maintenance carried out
Ensure the workshop is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, organisation, and safetyWhat the successful HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic will need:
In-depth knowledge of HGVs and trailers
Previous experience working in a workshop environment as an HGV Technician
Fully skilled with industry-recognised qualifications such as City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Service, Maintenance and Repair
HGV Class 1 licence desirable, but not essential
Current full UK Driving Licence or equivalent
Strong understanding of vehicle system diagrams
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
