How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Estimator
    £70,000 - £80,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Generous Bonus + Progression
    Maidstone - Office Based

    This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established main contractor delivering high-profile commercial projects for blue-chip and public-sector clients, with values up to £15m. The business is entering a key growth phase, offering long-term stability, clear progression, and a highly competitive salary with bonus potential.

    Are you an experience on working on commercial refurbishment projects? Do you want to join a renowned company who financially reward they Estimators with lucrative bonus's?

    The main contractor deliver refurbishment and occasional new-build projects across healthcare, commercial office, and government sectors. Schemes typically range from £300k to £15m and are delivered directly for established blue-chip and public-sector clients. Following a strong year and continued workload growth, the business is expanding its estimating function.

    This is a full-time, office-based Estimator role working closely with a small, experienced team of long-serving professionals. You'll take projects from initial enquiry through to tender submission, contributing to competitive and commercially sound bids.

    This position suits a detail-focused Estimator with main contracting experience who is comfortable working independently and thrives in a supportive, professional environment. You'll be commercially aware, organised, and confident managing the full tender process.

    With a small estimating team currently in place, there is a clear and realistic pathway into a Senior Estimator position as workload and team size continue to grow. The business places genuine value on its employees, offering security, progression, and long-term career development.

    The Role - Responsibilities
    * Producing accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects
    * Reviewing enquiries and completing bid / no-bid assessments
    * Analysing tender documentation and preparing detailed estimates
    * Submitting tenders and supporting post-tender queries

    The Person - Requirements
    * Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contracting environment
    * Background in refurbishment or commercial construction projects
    * Experience producing competitive tenders
    * Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
    * Able to commute to Maidstone
