This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established main contractor delivering high-profile commercial projects for blue-chip and public-sector clients, with values up to £15m. The main contractor deliver refurbishment and occasional new-build projects across healthcare, commercial office, and government sectors. Schemes typically range from £300k to £15m and are delivered directly for established blue-chip and public-sector clients. Following a strong year and continued workload growth, the business is expanding its estimating function.

This is a full-time, office-based Estimator role working closely with a small, experienced team of long-serving professionals. You'll take projects from initial enquiry through to tender submission, contributing to competitive and commercially sound bids.

This position suits a detail-focused Estimator with main contracting experience who is comfortable working independently and thrives in a supportive, professional environment. You'll be commercially aware, organised, and confident managing the full tender process.

With a small estimating team currently in place, there is a clear and realistic pathway into a Senior Estimator position as workload and team size continue to grow. The business places genuine value on its employees, offering security, progression, and long-term career development.

The Role - Responsibilities
* Producing accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects
* Reviewing enquiries and completing bid / no-bid assessments
* Analysing tender documentation and preparing detailed estimates
* Submitting tenders and supporting post-tender queries

The Person - Requirements
* Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contracting environment
* Background in refurbishment or commercial construction projects
* Experience producing competitive tenders
* Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
* Able to commute to Maidstone
