How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Regional Team Leader (Solar Operations)

    Can be based Southampton, Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Surrounding Areas

    Are you an experienced solar engineer or electrical professional looking to step into a leadership role?

    This company is a specialist provider of operations and maintenance services across large-scale renewable energy sites. With a strong and growing portfolio across the UK and Europe, they are continuing to expand their team and are looking for motivated individuals who can help drive operational performance and support the development of field engineers.

    In this role you will be responsible for supporting the coordination and performance of engineers across a regional area. You will review work orders, assist with resource planning, provide technical support, and act as a key link between project management teams and engineers working on site. The role also involves helping improve reporting standards, procedures, and overall team performance.

    The successful candidate will have a strong technical background within electrical or renewable energy environments alongside experience supporting or managing teams. You will be organised, proactive, and motivated to improve processes and help develop others within the team.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to move into a leadership role within a growing renewable energy organisation.

    The Role:

    Planning resources and coordinating engineers across regional sites
    Reviewing work orders and monitoring team performance
    Providing technical support and assisting with quotations
    Acting as the link between project managers and on-site teams
    Identifying contractors and supporting operational improvements
    The Person:

    Background in solar, electrical, or similar technical field
    Previous leadership, supervisory, or senior engineer experience
    Strong communication and organisational skills
    Experience with maintenance systems and MS Office desirable
    Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
