How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Duration: 7 - 8 months + strong potential to extend
Hours: 40 hours per week (Mon - Fri)
    Start: ASAP
Clearance: BPSS-level checks and Right to Work in the UK

    The Opportunity

Are you a hands-on Site Construction Supervisor with a strong civils background who enjoys being right at the heart of delivery?

This is an opportunity to support the delivery of a flagship 3renewable energy project in North Yorkshire, helping to expand the UK's low‑carbon energy infrastructure. You'll act as the client's representative on site, supervising HV infrastructure works, as well as substation-related activities.

If you've delivered major infrastructure, energy, utilities or power sector projects, this role offers a fast‑paced, meaningful challenge.

    Key Responsibilities

Oversee day‑to‑day site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, to quality standards, on programme and in line with environmental expectations.
Coordinate with contractors and consultants, ensuring all safety documentation, RAMS and permits are compliant and in place.
Verify construction progress, ensuring contractor reporting aligns with reality on site.
Maintain daily diaries and produce weekly project updates.
Build strong relationships with local authorities, statutory bodies, landowners, tenants, and community stakeholders.
Attend and contribute to site inspections, briefings, audits, and supply chain meetings.
Identify, manage and escalate project risks promptly.
Liaise closely with Technical, Engineering, Procurement, Finance and Project Services to support work package delivery.
Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

    What you'll bring

You're an experienced Site Construction Supervisor with a strong background in delivering complex civil, structural and foundation works.

You combine a safety‑first approach, technical confidence and strong communication skills with the professionalism needed to represent the client on a high‑profile project.

    Skills, qualifications & experience:

Full right to work in the UK and a full, clean UK driving licence.
Relevant engineering trade/supervisor qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, CITB) and recognised safety accreditations such as SSSTS, SMSTS or NEBOSH.
Strong competence reviewing Safe Systems of Work, including RAMS, PoWRA, environmental controls and Quality Inspection & Test Plans.
Proven experience undertaking site safety and quality audits, ensuring corrective actions are delivered effectively.
Solid understanding of project management principles: planning, cost, risk, quality, interfaces and commercial awareness.
Confident in maintaining daily diaries, tracking progress and compiling clear weekly reports.
Experience contributing to constructability reviews and lessons-learned processes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with contractors, multidisciplinary teams, local authorities and external stakeholders.
A track record supervising major civil, structural or infrastructure work packages, ideally within medium/large project delivery teams.
Ability to build strong, positive working relationships while navigating the pressures of a live construction environment.

    Personal qualities:

    Safety‑driven decision-making at all times.
Delivery-focused with the ability to prioritise and respond quickly to issues.
    Calm, adaptable and commercially aware.
Demonstrates leadership, influencing outcomes without unnecessary escalation.
Self-motivated and organised, capable of managing contractors with minimal oversight.
Professional, reliable and able to earn trust from internal and external stakeholders. If you're an experienced Site Construction Supervisor with a background in complex civil, structural and foundation works reach out for further information
