About the Role

As a Batch Plant Operative, you will be operating our fleet of mobile mixing plants to produce cement bound products for paving.You will also carry out tasks within the mixing operation, stockpiling, replenishment and maintaining the plants to a high standard.

Your responsibilities in this role will include (not exhaustive)

Managing all aspects of daily production including ordering of materials and control of stock levels
Ensuring the safe and efficient completion of a mixing plant mobilization and demobilization from site
Efficiently manufacturing CBGM/RCC and foamed asphalt
Ensuring that products always meet quality requirements
Controlling cement content and ensuring mixing records are accurately completed
Taking responsibility for your own safety and that of contractors
Maintaining site housekeeping to a high standard
Working with the paving team to co-ordinate deliveries and meet requirements
Ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues with mixing plant**Please note this role will involve travel to various Tarmac sites across the UK of which a company van will be provided and any prospective candidates must be willing to travel.**

What we are looking for

It is essential any prospective candidates have experience in the following:

Mobile mixing plant operations
Knowledge of risk assessments and safe systems of work
Production processesFurthermore, it is desirable to be computer literate in MS Word & Excel and are able to multitask due to the variety in the role
